About Us
The brainchild of Randy and Diana Kolhoff, Black Swan Antiques opened its doors in March 2006. The concept was simple; bring together an eclectic collection of quality home furnishings that fits the upscale taste and desires of the Hampton clientele.

“In the beginning, it was a test of taste and patience,” Randy explains. “I had designed furniture and sold to retailers in Southampton previously, and was confident we could create a collection that would be in demand out east. But getting the clientele in the door to see it, well that’s another challenge. It took until about mid June before we started to be discovered. We have been fortunate to have a great clientele that seem to love to share us with their friends.”Randy has been in the home décor business for over a decade, working for a successful furniture importing company. He has designed and overseen the manufacturing of full lines of home furnishings. “I studied antiques while designing furniture,” Randy explains. “I developed a passion for antique furniture as well as all things old. I enjoy the hunt, finding that unusual piece that has character.” Diana, a former math teacher at the Ross School in East Hampton, handles the bookkeeping and paperwork.Located at 515 Hampton Road in Southampton, Black Swan can be considered an alternative to the traditional furniture store. The store contains interesting and unusual home décor items, styles ranging from Primitive, Colonial, and Classical French to Victorian, Mission, and Dutch Modern. In addition, Black Swan has also added two new outdoor furniture lines for 2008; a full line of plantation teak. this great line will be sold along side Seaside Casual Furniture manufactured in Newport, Rhode Island and built to last.Black Swan Antiques is a new company that clings to an old concept that seems to be disappearing; a Southampton original, a true Ma and Pa shop with a whole lot of local character, quality and something unique for refined taste.
